Jury selection continues on third day of Trump's hush money trial

Jury selection has resumed on day three of Donald Trump's hush money trial in New York - the first criminal trial of a former president.

Two jurors selected earlier this week have now been excused, taking the number of confirmed jurors from seven to five.

One of the jurors said she had privacy concerns which prompted the judge to tell the media to limit the personal descriptions of potential jurors.

Dozens of potential jurors were dismissed on Monday and Tuesday after saying they could not be impartial.

Trump is accused of trying to cover up a 130,000 hush-money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election.

Daniels claims she and Trump had an affair in 2006, and she was then paid by Trump's then-lawyer Michael Cohen to stay quiet about it.

Trump is accused of falsifying his business records by saying the money he gave Mr. Cohen was for legal fees.

He has pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of fraud and also denies having an affair with Daniels.
