Police seize large cache of ammunition in St. Elizabeth

The St. Elizabeth Police on Monday seized a large cache of ammunition during an operation in Potsdam.
 
Acting head of the St. Elizabeth Police, Deputy Superintendent Coleridge Minto said, acting on intelligence, the police conducted an operation at an unoccupied property about 9 p.m. 
 
"During the operation, one premises was searched and a bag containing 76 12-gauge cartridges was found," he reported. 
 
No one was arrested. 
 
Monday's find comes on the heels of the seizure of three illegal firearms and the arrest of four persons last week.
