Investigators are making arrangement to lay charges against the security guard who injured and robbed a policeman of his service pistol at the Cross Roads police station on Thursday.
Romario Abrahams was arrested Friday morning at a plaza on March Pen Road in Spanish Town, St. Catherine.
A senior investigator told RJR News that the stolen service pistol was recovered.
Mr. Abrahams is facing several charges including illegal possession of a firearm, wounding and simple larceny.
It was reported that about 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon, Mr. Abrahams went to the Cross Roads police station to give a statement and submit a medical report in a case of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
While being assisted, he attacked and disarmed the police officer.
Mr. Abrahams then escaped.
