Jamaica's women's cricket team suffered their first loss in the regional Super 50 Cup after going down to Barbados by 8 wickets at Bourda in Guyana on Thursday. After winning the toss and choosing to bat, Jamaica were restricted to 214-7 from their 50 overs. Skipper Stafanie Taylor top-scored with 80 while Chedean Nation added 31. Hayley Matthews took 2-36 for Barbados.
In reply, a 108 run knock from Matthews, guided Barbados to victory at 219-2 with 87 balls to spare. Kycia Knight added 59 while Deandra Dottin made 23. The Jamaicans will next be in action on Saturday against Trinidad and Tobago at Everest.
