Knee injury rules King out of Windies A tour of Nepal

A knee injury sustained by Jamaican Brandon King in the sixth round regional clash against Guyana Harpy Eagles has ruled him out of selection to the West Indies A T20 squad to take on Nepal in a five match series which bowls off on Sunday.

Fabian Allen and Oshane Thomas are the two Jamaicans in the 15-member squad that will be captained by Barbadian Roston Chase. Alick Athanaze will be Chase's deputy. Regular first team players Johnson Charles and Gudakesh Motie are involved.

The rest of the 15 has Kadeem Alleyne, Keacy Carty, Joshua Bishop, Obed McCoy, Keemo Paul, Andre Fletcher, Matthew Forde, Hayden Walsh and Mark Deyal.

Trinidad and Tobago’s Evin Lewis turned down the call, citing that he is unavailable for selection.

Floyd Reifer will coach the team that is being used as a selection for at least two places in the 15-man squad for the T20 World Cup in June to be staged in the Caribbean and the USA.
