Wolmer's Boys among winners in Manning Cup

Wolmer's Boys are perfect after four games in the ISSA Digicel Manning Cup following the results on Monday. The Heroes Circle based boys who were playing at home, turned back Holy Trinity 2-1 in their fixture. On a day where Edith Dalton James came from behind twice to beat Jose Marti 3-2 in the group, Wolmers ensured they moved 3 points clear of Holy Trinity.

Kimani Gibbons and Nikashe Murray gave the Wolmerians a two goal first half lead. However, Roy Evlyn got a consolation for Holy Trinity. Over in Group 'C', leaders Camperdown maintained their perfect win record with a come from behind 2-1 over Jonathan Grant High.

After Jevaun Gayle found the opener for Jonathan Grant in minute 12, Zidane Brathwaite then found a late equalizer in the 74th minute. The comeback was completed when Shaquille Bradford got the decider 4 minutes later. In the group's other games, Meadowbrook suffered their third defeat in four games, going down 3-1 to Eltham High while Charlie Smith and Norman Manley ended goalless.

Meanwhile, Holland High registered their first victory of the season in the ISSA Wata DaCosta Cup after recording a 2-0 win over Muschette in the Trelawny derby. Johnoy McIntosh got both goals for Holland with his first coming in the 38th minute and the second in the 85th. Muschette were suffering their second defeat.
