It has been revealed that a 13-year-old boy was among two persons fatally shot during Sunday afternoon's attack by gunmen in Mongoose Town off Waltham Park Road in St. Andrew.
He has been identified as Jahime O'connor, a student of Cockburn Gardens Primary and Junior High School. The other deceased is 31-year-old Akino Grant. They were among four persons shot during the attack.
Shortly after 4 pm, the individuals were among a group of persons playing football when a Nissan Tida motor vehicle with several armed men drove up. The men immediately opened gunfire.
It was discovered that the four persons, including the school boy, had been shot. Jahime and Mr Grant were pronounced dead at the scene. The other persons were treated at hospital and released.
The cops say they collected several M16 and 9 millimetre spent shells at the scene.
