Early results show that Bermudians have voted overwhelmingly against same-sex marriage and same-sex civil unions in Thursday's referendum.
As counting at 12 polling stations across the island went on late into the night, it remained unclear if there was a 50 per cent or more turnout.
This is the mark required for the referendum to be considered 'answered'.
