Final rites have been performed in India for one of its nationals who was shot dead during a robbery in Cherry Gardens Kingston 8 last week.
A report in the Times of India newspaper says the body of 25 year-old Rakesh Talreja arrived in Mumbai on Thursday morning.
Mr. Talreja was employed as a salesperson at a jewellery store in Kingston.
Sushma Swaraj, India's External Affairs Minister, assisted in having his body returned home.
According to the paper, Mr. Talreja was scheduled to visit his parents later this year.
He had come to Jamaica two-and-a-half years ago to support his father financially.
