Prime Minister Andrew Holness

Prime Minister Andrew Holness has announced that the promised Commission on Violence Prevention has now been set up and has started working.

The Commission will be examining all aspects of violence and ways to address it to ensure lasting solutions.

Speaking in the House of Representatives on Tuesday, Mr. Holness said the commission will be officially launched as soon as the Commission's panel refines its terms of reference.

He said the Commission will pull together studies already done on violence prevention.
