Four persons killed in Dover, St. Catherine

Gunmen killed four persons and wounded another five in Dover, St. Catherine Tuesday night.

The victims include women.

About 9.20 p.m., those shot were standing along a road in Dover when the gunmen opened fire at them.

Member of  Parliament Dr. Christopher Tufton, whose constituency includes Dover, visited the scene and condemned the attack, describing it as "senseless" and not representing "how we should live".

Dr Tufton, who is also the country's Minister of Health, said his immediate concern was to bring confort to the victims and their relatives, and to ensure that the survivors are given "the best possible medical treatment."
