Firefighters attempt to clear road blocks in Trinityville, St. Thomas.
The Robert Lightbourne High School in St. Thomas has been closed for the day following a protest by residents of Trinityville who blocked the Morant Bay to Cedar Valley main road between Serge Island and Trinityville.
The school's principal Paul Clare told RJR News that the closure is to ensure the safety of students and staff, adding that only few persons turned out.
The police and firefighters earlier cleared the road.
However, the residents have again blocked the roads.
