UWI Runnin Rebels are into the semi-finals of the National Basketball League (NBL) all- island competition following a blowout win over Pure Players in their most recent encounter. The Southern Conference runners-up smashed Pure Players 96-47 at the National Arena, thanks to 18 points from Andre McLean,16 from Kamon Stewart and 12 from Dale Gayle.
Southern Conference champions St George’s Slayers defeated Mo Bay Cricket Club Knights 74-64 in the second game of the double header, thanks to a game-high 17 points from Michael Rogers.
St George’s will next face Urban Knights who beat Team Aaah 81-53 in another quarter-final match-up, while UWI Runnin Rebels will face Pembroke Hall Warriors in the other semi-final after they got the better of Granville Jaguars 80-72.
