Sabina Park to host rugby

Report by RJRGLEANER Communications Group Sports Reporter Trishana McGowan

Sabina Park will open its doors to another sport on January 19 as rugby union will be held for the first time at this historic venue. The Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) will not be earning rental revenue from this rugby event, but JCA CEO Courtney Francis is looking forward to the prospect of having more people visit Sabina Park.

The third leg of the Jamaica Rugby Football Union Sevens Series will be played at the venue all day on January 19. The Jamaica Tallawahs and the Reggae Boyz have also played at Sabina Park.
