Scorpions beat Volcanoes to record back-to-back wins in regional cricket

The Jamaica Scorpions have picked up back-to-back wins in the Cricket West Indies regional four day competition after defeating the Windward Islands Volcanoes by 10 wickets at Sabina Park on Sunday. After starting the day on 168-6, the Volcanoes added only 18 runs to their total and got bowled out for 186.

Skipper Nikita Miller took 8-54 in the second innings while Derval Green and Reynard Leveridge also took a wicket  a piece. Set a target of 35, the Scorpions raced to that score in 5.4 overs with Trevon Griffith getting 24  off 20 balls while John Campbell added 10 from 14 balls. Final scores: The Windward Islands Volcanoes 200 and 186 all out; the Jamaica Scorpions 352 all out and 35-0.

The Scorpions will next be in action on Thursday when they take on the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force at Sabina Park.
